DZT 50th Anniversary Homecoming Gift

DZT Ladies, Beaus and Gentlemen:
As you may know, 2014 is a special year for Delta Zeta Tau.   We are celebrating 50 years of Sisterhood and Service.  Plans are underway to “Paint The Town Red” as we celebrate 50 years of unforgettable taps, inductions, service projects, pass downs, and many memories and lifelong friendships.  If you have not already done so, please make plans to join past and present Hairs, Beaus and Gentlemen November 7 – 9 for Homecoming.   The weekend promises to be filled with sharing old memories and creating new ones.
As we have done in earlier DZT anniversaries, we wish to celebrate 50 years by making a major contribution to the development of Lee's beautiful campus.  The project we are undertaking will occupy the large grassy quadrangle at the core of the new "South Campus", which will include the new Communications Arts building, a School of Nursing building, and the renovated old First Baptist Church.  We are taking the lead on this, and expect Alpha Gamma Chi and others to join us.  The structure itself will be called the Forum, and will be some combination of a gazebo, bell tower, fountain, or similar features.
I am honored to be chairing the fundraising campaign for Delta Zeta Tau.  Our 2014 goal is to raise $50,000.   Equally as important to reaching our financial goal  is 100% participation from the membership in support of the goal.  I am sure you will agree, DZT always exceeds expectations.  Regardless of the amount, please consider making a donation to mark this special occasion.  Your contribution will also be counted as part of Lee’s 2014 Alumni Fund Drive and is tax deductible.  As a reminder, many corporations offer charitable matching programs.   Please inquire and take advantage of this benefit.  Every dollar counts!
We have identified Decade Captains to assist with energizing the alumni base and support communication/fund raising efforts.   Vanessa Carey (’85),  (Vanessa.Carey@att.net) is leading the communication team and will work directly with DZT, DZTAA and the Alumni Office to provide updates on all Homecoming activities.  You may also contact your Decade Captain for additional information:
